Hi, I’m Brendar Kaur Dassaur. I am a qualified and BABCP accredited therapist specialising in working with individuals (aged 16 and over) and couples. I have worked in NHS mental health and psychology services since 2005. My practice is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based approaches. I qualified in 2010 as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and have continued with my professional development to add more specialties to my practice. I draw from a range of therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Behavioural Couple Therapy (BCT), and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) to meet each person's unique needs.
My aim is to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore the challenges you're facing, build insight, and develop effective tools for change. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, trauma, depression, relationship difficulties, or simply feeling stuck, I’m here to support you with care and professionalism.

Initial Consultation
A relaxed, one‑to‑one conversation where we explore your background, current challenges, and hopes for therapy. You’ll leave with clarity on which approach suits you best and a personalised plan for your next steps.

Behavioural Couples Therapy (BCT)
A structured therapy for couples that focuses on strengthening your relationship through better communication, problem‑solving, and shared goals. BCT supports you in breaking negative cycles and building a more connected partnership.
£145 per session
Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR)
An evidence‑based therapy for processing distressing memories and trauma. Using guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, EMDR helps your brain reframe past experiences so they have less emotional impact in the present.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
A practical, goal‑oriented approach that helps you understand the link between your thoughts, feelings, and actions. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns and develop healthier ways of thinking and behaving to improve your day‑to‑day life.

Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
Combines the skills of CBT with mindfulness practices to help you stay present and avoid being pulled into negative thought patterns. MBCT is especially effective for relapse prevention in depression and promoting overall emotional resilience.

CBT Supervision
CBT Supervision is a structured, collaborative process where therapists review their client work with an experienced supervisor. It focuses on refining cognitive behavioural techniques, improving case formulations, and developing practical interventions all while fostering reflective practice, professional growth, and high‑quality, evidence‑based care.
